A&I is delighted to be working with talented frame and furniture maker Simon Orrell. Simon’s work illustrates beautifully GK Chesterton’s comment that ‘the essence of every picture is in the frame’. Simon escaped the rat race to follow his passion for fine framing, and trained in Italy with a Master Framer. All his frames are made entirely by hand, based on traditional techniques. Each bespoke frame has up to six coats of gesso before antiquing, colour washing and water or oil gilding.
